Mithun's son Mimoh to tie the knot with Madalsa Sharma today in Ooty amid police investigation

Mimoh was accused of rape, cheating and wrongful termination of pregnancy filed by a Bhojpuri actress last week.

Over the last couple of days, speculations have been rife about whether or not Mahaakshay Chakraborty aka Mimoh's marriage with actress Madalsa Sharma, which was slated to happen on July 7, took place. The wedding plans seemed to have hit a roadblock after Mimoh was accused of rape, cheating and wrongful termination of pregnancy filed by a Bhojpuri actress last week. His mother, former actress Yogeeta Bali, was also named in the complaint.

A source has now told BT that the couple registered their marriage on July 7, as scheduled. However, the traditional wedding, which was cancelled following the arrival of a police team to investigate the complaint, will be held today. The ceremony will take place at Mimoh's father, actor Mithun Chakraborty's plush hotel in Ooty.

Last week, the Bombay High Court had rejected Mimoh and Yogeeta's bail plea, following which the duo moved the Rohini court (Delhi), which granted them interim bail.

A source close to Mimoh's family says, "The couple and their families had a small celebration on July 7, after Mimoh secured bail. In fact, Mimoh and Madalsa's marriage was registered on the same day, and a traditional wedding will take place today. A sangeet ceremony took place yesterday (Monday). The guest list was considerably shortened after the complaint."

Meanwhile, the complainant's lawyers - Neeraj Gupta and Nisha Arora - have decided to appeal before the Delhi High Court now. Says Neeraj, "We are not at all happy with the court's order. It is surprising how anticipatory bail has been granted at the very initial stage of the investigation. The accused are very much capable of affecting the investigation, the evidence and witnesses of the case. We will approach Delhi High Court against the said order. My client is under tremendous mental and physical torture."
