Mithun Chakraborty’s condition stable, ‘Disco Dancer’ had a serious brain stroke

​Recently, the hospital has issued a bulletin that the ‘Disco Dancer’ star was doing well, and out of danger zone. He was admitted to Apollo Hospital on Saturday after complaining of chest pain and numbness in limbs.

Mithun Chakraborty’s condition is now stable.

The veteran actor was admitted to Apollo Hospital on Saturday after he complained about having chest pain.

Recently, the hospital has issued a bulletin that the ‘Disco Dancer’ star was doing well, and out of danger zone. He is currently being kept under observation and being looked after by a team that comprises of a cardiologist, a gastroenterologist, and a neurologist.



What Happened With Mithun Chakraborty?

According to the statement issued by the hospital, the ‘Pyaar Ke Naam Qurbaan’ actor suffered a major ischemic cerebrovascular accident (stroke) in the brain. When he was admitted to the hospital, the actor was suffering chest pain and gradual numbness in the limbs.

“Shri Mithun Chakraborty (73), a National Award-winning actor, was brought to the Emergency Department of Apollo Multispecialty Hospitals, Kolkata, around 9.40 am with complaints of weakness in the right upper and lower limbs. Necessary laboratory and radiology investigations were carried out including an MRI of the brain. He has been diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke) of the brain. Presently, he is fully conscious, well-oriented, and has consumed a soft diet. Shri Chakraborty is being further evaluated by a team of doctors including a neuro-physician, cardiologist, and a gastroenterologist.”

Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, the actor’s elder son Mahaakshay, aka Mimoh Chakrabarty said that his father was doing well and had gone to the hospital for a routine checkup.

In a career spanning more than four decades, Chakraborty has starred in over 300 films. He is best known for the 1983 hit ‘Disco Dancer’. He has last appeared in the 2023 film ‘Kabuliwala’, which is an adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore’s short story of the same name.
