Minal Bajaj, Deepika Jindal are spearheading the green cause
Top bosses galvanised a drive in Valsad that saw around 3000 saplings being sown.

Over the past few weeks, top corporate figures and professionals have galvanised a tree plantation drive in Dharampur, Valsad, to bring much needed green relief to a stretch of land. So far, nearly 3,000 saplings have been sown, far in excess of the initial goal of 100 saplings. Donors had to pay Rs 2,500 per tree.
Entrepreneur Smita Crishna, pharma director Namita Thapar, packaging industry boss Kahini Saket Kanoria, Bajaj group trustee Minal Bajaj, Jindal Stainless chairperson Deepika Jindal and paediatric cardiologist Dr Sunita Maheshwari are some of the people who have supported the project.
The overwhelming donor response indicates one thing. Greenery is a cause close to everyone’s lungs.
