Micromax launches its Made in India Yu Yuphoria smartphone, prices it at Rs 6,999

Micromax has launched its second device under its YU brand today. After witnessing considerable success with its Yu Yureka smartphone which was priced at Rs. 8999, the brand has announced its 5 inch display phone called Yu Yuphoria which will be priced aggressively at Rs. 6999. The phone has a metal body and is designed and assembled in India.

The second smartphone from YU comes with a 5-inch HD display (1280 x 720 pixels) and runs Cyanogen OS 12 based on Android 5.0. Inside is a 64-bit quad core Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage (expandable) along with a 2,230mAh battery.

The phone sports a 5MP front camera while a 8MP camera sits on the back. Other features include 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, dual SIM support and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Weighing 143 grams, the phone will be available exclusively on Amazon India.
