Micromax launches Canvas Sliver 5 smartphone for Rs 17,999

NEW DELHI: Micromax has taken the wraps off its new flagship smartphone, the Canvas Sliver 5. Priced at Rs 17,999, the phone is just 5.1mm slim and competes directly with the Gionee S5.1.

Constructed using aircraft grade aluminum, the phone weighs just 97 gram. It comes with a 4.8-inch HD amoled (1280 * 720 pixels) display protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is 4G ready as it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. Other hardware specifications include 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and a 2,000mAh battery. There is no microSD slot for expansion.

The single SIM phone runs Android 5.0, has an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front facing camera, WiFi and Bluetooth for wireless connectivity. It also has NXP power amp and Dirac HD sound for superior audio output.




Sliver 5 also comes with Micromax's new after sales policy. In case of any issue, the phone will be collected from your doorstep, repaired and returned within 7 days.



Airtel users get a double data pack with the smartphone which is valid for 3 months.

The phone will will be available from the first week of July.
