Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris Jsckson has asked a LA court to order the late pop-singer’s estate to transfer $600 million into a family trust. This comes in a long legal battle with the executor of the multi-billion-dollar estate, John Branca. The family trust is said to benefit Paris, who is Michael Jackson’s only daughter and her siblings Bigi and Prince Jackson.

In the latest court filings, Paris has accused Branca of misappropriating funds from the estate. Paris has claimed that despite Michael Jackson’s will instructing the siblings to receive payments upon turning 21, they did not get them.

According to Fox News, Paris has further alleged that her and her siblings experienced a “multi-million-dollar” reduction in payments from the estate, while Branca maintained an “iron grip” over their inheritance. Paris has claimed that this occurred after she started questioning Branca’s alleged mismanagement of the estate’s funds. “Her challenges were met with scorched earth litigation, public attacks and payment reduction by the Estate,” her legal team alleged in a court filing cited by Fox News.

Paris questions Branca’s $9.4 million executor fee

According to legal documents seen by Fox News, Paris has accused Branca of using the estate’s funds for personal use. She has challenged the $9.4 million Branca allegedly charges for executing the estate.

Along with this, Paris has also highlighted over $604,000 in credit card charges, $1.4 million in payments made to Branca's law firm and another $835,000 for public relations-related expenses, the court filing showed.

Paris is also accusing Branca of using the estate’s funds for personal travel, having previously spent it on private jets, Fox News reported. She has further claimed that Branca only reimbursed certain amounts after she personally investigated them and called him out.

According to TMZ, Paris is seeking to reduce Branca’s compensation from 15% to 10% of the estate’s entertainment-related revenue. Paris has accused Branca of mismanaging over $440 million of the estate’s money by pursuing entertainment projects benefitting himself, including the 2026 Michael Jackson biopic, Fox News reported.

The estate earned over $2.5 billion and contained about $850 million in cash as of December 2024, according to Paris’ court filings. She argues that the huge figure makes it possible for the estate to distribute the $600 million she is demanding and also retain enough funds for its outstanding liabilities.

Executors claims Paris Jackson has already received $65 million from estate

According to new court filings accessed by People, the estate’s executors have claimed that Paris Jackson has already received about $65 million from her late father’s estate. They have further claimed that Paris would not have received the amount if the executors “followed a typical playbook for an estate like this one in July 2009.”

Over $200 million has been distributed to Paris and other beneficiaries of the estate, and none of his children are supposed to receive an amount until they are in their 30s, an estate representative told Fox News.
