#MeToo continues to haunt AIB; Tanmay Bhat to 'step away', Khamba sent on leave
A note signed by the HR Head also said that another co-founder, Gursimran Khamba, has been sent on leave following sexual misconduct allegations.

The note from the AIB's official Twitter handle, was attributed to its Human Resources Head, Vidhi Jotwani. The note read that the company was "closely monitoring the sequence of events on social around the allegations against AIB and also against our co-founder and CEO Tanmay Bhat."

Jotwani's note read that Tanmay's role couldn't be overlooked and in light of this, he will be stepping away from AIB until further notice. He would not be a part of the daily operations of the band any more, till further communication was sent out.

Action against Khamba comes in the wake of allegations on social media by a woman who claimed that he had misbehaved with her. Khamba has also been accused of making drunk calls, and emotionally blackmailing and abusing her for not reciprocating his advances.
Utsav Chakraborty, ex-comedian from AIB, was also accused of sexual harassment towards women on social media recently. In response to this, the group delisted any video from the former member.
When a woman stepped out to speak against Chakraborty, a row of similar allegations followed.
