Months after Twitter boss Elon Musk rolled out a subscription service for providing blue tick verification on the microblogging platform, its social networking rival, Instagram, has now announced a paid service of its own.

Meta-owned photo-sharing platform recently announced ‘Meta Verified’, a paid service which will give you a verified badge, confirming that you’re a real person and not a fake account or an imposter.

Instagram is offering the monthly subscription service for $11.99 (approximately Rs 993) on the web and $14.99 (approximately Rs 1241) on iOS and Android platforms on Instagram.

Whereas, Twitter Blue, an opt-in paid subscription that adds a blue checkmark to your account and offers early access to a few features, is available for $8 (approximately Rs 663) monthly subscription fee.
