Samsung Galaxy Fold After a rocky start, the Samsung Galaxy Fold looks like it’s ready for prime time. Samsung took painstaking efforts to address all the problems reviewers noticed early on when their units started breaking and, in the process, also managed to make the phone look more polished. The Galaxy Fold features a Snapdragon 855 processor along with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The folding AMOLED display comes in at 4.6 inches folded and 7.3 inches open.

LG G8X ThinQ If you want to join the folding phone bandwagon, the LG G8X ThinQ can be your best bet. It offers a similar folding experience to the Samsung Galaxy Fold by attaching a 6.4-inch OLED display to provide extra durability and versatility. That’s in addition to the primary OLED panel with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The G8X is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB of RAM, and features 128GB of onboard storage. It also has a 4,000mAh battery and impressive camera.

Sony Xperia 5 The new Xperia 5 features a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 21:9 aspect ratio and impressive specifications that make it a promising option for people who love to stream multimedia. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor along with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of builtin storage, and a 3,140mAh battery. A camera stack on the back has three 12MP sensors.

Nokia 7.2 The successor to the popular midrange phone, the Nokia 7.1, the new Nokia 7.2 has big shoes to fill and appears up to the task. It also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor along with 4 or 6GB of RAM, and 64 or 128GB of storage. On the software side, it comes with the Android One version of Android P, meaning it’s sure to get timely OS and security updates.

Sharp Aquos V While you probably know Sharp for its TVs, it also makes some nifty smartphones. The new Aquos V seeks to offer good performance at an affordable price. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (a microSD slot allows you to add 256GB of space if needed). It sports a fingerprint sensor and two 13MP cameras on the back. A 5.93-inch LCD takes up most of the front.

Lenovo-owned Motorola has recently introduced Motorola One Zoom that comes with a four-camera set up at the rear and 3D satin glass on the back. The new handset’s camera system features a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, a 16MP wideangle camera that snaps a 117-degree field of view and a 5MP depth sensor. It also features a 25MP front shooter.

Alcatel 1V Do you want all the perks of a great smartphone without breaking the bank? Xiaomi India has been posting teasers for their upcoming Redmi K20/K20 Pro smartphones since June with an estimated launch in the third week of July. Both K20 and K20 Pro have a 6.39-inch amoled display with an in-screen fingerprint scanner and motorised pop-up 20MP front camera. Inside is a Snapdragon 730 (K20) or Snapdragon 855 (K20 Pro) with 6/8GB RAM, 64/128/256GB storage and a 4,000mAh battery. Around the back is a triple camera setup with 48MP f1.8 + 8MP telephoto + 13MP wide-angle capable of recording 4k video at 60fps. The cheaper K20 has phase detection autofocus while the K20 Pro gets phase detection plus laser autofocus.

In May, Realme showcased this mid-range smartphone with a pop-up camera in China. Now the company has been teasing an India launch and we expect an official announcement mid July. It has a 6.53-inch amoled display with in-display fingerprint scanner, a motorised pop-up 16MP camera and dual rear camera setup (48MP IMX 586 sensor + 5MP depth sensor). It is powered by a Snapdragon 710 and options include 4/6 GB RAM and 64/128GB storage. It’s not clear if all these variants will launch in India too. We do know that it has a 3,765mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charge support. A special 'Spiderman: Far From Home' variant is also expected.
