Men outdo women when it comes to fake reading
Among those who admitted to fake reading in public to impress, 24.2% were men and 15.7% women. Here is the breakdown of the habits of India’s ‘literary tricksters’.

12.6% men and 7% women have agreed to purchase books as a fashion accessory simply to complete their look.
27.55% respondents would choose airport lobbies to fake-read followed by 25.98% who would fib in a coffee shop.
21.87% of respondents would choose Classic English Literature to pretend reading.
