Memories of a polo prince! Padmanabh Singh, from the royal family of Jaipur has the spirit of an adventurer
Padmanabh Singh, from the royal family of Jaipur, may be all of 18 years of age, but his life resembles more adventurer, less average teenager. The son of Diya Kumari and Narendra Singh, he completed junior college recently. Since then, Pacho, as he is referred to by most, has been travelling and playing polo a lot. "I spent six months playing polo in England. Then I travelled a lot in America, South America, Thailand and a few other places. I’ve been in India the last couple of months, also playing polo and promoting the Jaipur Marathon," said he at a recent event in Mumbai.

The most memorable trip for him, however, proved to be a trip to Santa Barbara, USA, last year. "We took a team from Jaipur for a polo match there and were surprised to meet a gentleman who was 101 years old. He had played against my grandfather (Brigadier Sawai Bhawani Singh) when he was about my age. He showed me an album which had pictures of my grandfather playing. I never saw my grandfather play, so this experience was very heartfelt," says the young royal.
