Meizu launches m3 Note for Rs 9,999 in India

China based Meizu launches m3 Note in India priced at Rs 9999, as the Chinese new entrant attempts to make headway into India.

Leon Zhang, the marketing head of Meizu India, said, "With m3 Note we are striving to energize the Indian sub 10,000 category by offering a power packed product at an affordable price point. The m3 Note is geared towards the Indian youth, who are looking for seamless user experience, backed by a robust OS and exquisite craftsmanship."

Meizu looks to sell 1 million cellphones in India in 2016, a market which it says is very important. "We want to build our brand online first and post that we may come to offline sales."- sales head.

"India is a big market, and there are a lot of young people here. Our product is directed at them," said Leon Zhang after the product launch. The company plans more products for different strata of people in the future.

In 2015, Meizu sold over 20 million units world over. The company wants to focus on important markets around China first, and then move to the US.

The m3 Note which will be sold on Amazon, has a 3GB RAM + 32 GB ROM and expandable storage up to 128 GB.

It has a combination of Flyme OS 5.1 and the Helio P10 processor, ensuring a longer battery life with a 4100 mAh battery. It also has a full Metal body with 1080 P full HD screen.

M3 Note is equipped with 13 MP back camera and 5 mp front camera. The smartphone also combines the fingerprint identification and fingerprint payment together. The former can make identification as fast as in 0.2 seconds, Meizu claims.
