Meet Rakhee Kapoor Tandon, the girl who ruled IPL final

Among the highlights of Sunday's IPL final between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings was Rakhee Kapoor Tandon, daughter of Yes Bank's founder Rana Kapoor. As cameras panned to her face during the match, Twitter users went into overdrive wondering "who that pretty girl was"; so much so that she was a trending topic.

A few days and several online odes later, Tandon reveals that she was caught unawares by the attention. During the match, a friend had messaged her about the Twitter reaction, but she laughed it off. "It was only after I started getting messages from other people that I logged on to my Twitter account and saw the trend. I was pleasantly surprised. I am overwhelmed with the messages of appreciation I have been receiving since then," she says in an exclusive phone chat with ETPanache.

Tandon holds an MBA with a major in Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School and is MD and CEO of financial services holding company RAAS Capital. "I have also done short stints in investment banking with Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan in the past to gain experience," she says.

Some tweets, which proposed marriage to her, left the 28-year old embarrassed and resulting in goodnatured ribbing from her amused friends. Tandon has been married to entrepreneur Alkesh Tandon for two-and-a-half years now. "My husband was amused and flattered. We both laughed at it," she says.

And while, Twitter may be a fan of Tandon's, she herself is a Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and Roger Federer enthusiast. "It is not just Federer's immense talent, but the fact that he is so humble and has an amazing personality," she says.
