Meet international freestyle soccer champion Séan Garnier
With World Cup fever upon us, we got talking to international freestyle soccer champion Séan Garnier who was in Mumbai to judge the Red Bull Street Style National Finals.

I developed a passion for this back in 2006 when I was a football player in France. However, I injured myself, after which I decided to do free styling as I couldn’t let go of the sport. It took me around 2-3 years to become really good at this.
My trade mark is the ‘T-shirt trick’. I did this trick against Neymar in 2011. It’s a trick in which you hide the ball in your T-shirt and you pretend that the ball is behind your opponent, but it’s still in your T-shirt. It is kind of like magician-freestyle football.
My favourite tune to freestyle to is ‘Party People’ by Disco Socks. I also like performing to house music with the right beats.
When I was in India three years ago, I performed in Delhi and I was surprised by the reaction of the people because they seemed to really enjoy it.
