Meet CyberDog, Xiaomi's four-legged robot worth Rs 1.18 lakh

Tech company Xiaomi had launched the new CyberDog robot last year in China during an event launch. After a long wait, the company has finally unveiled the product in India.

The CyberDog, which is the company's entry into the limitless field of quadruped robots, is powered by NVIDIA's Jetson Xavier NX AI Supercomputer for Embedded and Edge Systems paired with 128GB of SSD storage.

According to Xiaomi, the introduction of CyberDog represents the pinnacle of Xiaomi's engineering skills. According to reports, the CyberDog sells for roughly 9,999 Yuan which is Rs 1,18,213 approximately. Xiaomi will display the CyberDog at Mi Homes across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.


The new four-legged robot dog comes packed with interesting features such as cameras and microphones. It is equipped with 11 sensors that provide instant feedback to guide CyberDog's movements, making it nothing less than a real furry companion.


The camera sensors on CyberDog include AI interactive cameras, binocular ultra-wide angle fisheye cameras. Xiaomi's robot can be trained using a computer vision algorithm.

Apart from this, Xiaomi's CyberDog can analyse its surroundings in real-time, create navigational maps, avoid obstacles and plot its destination. Users can also use voice commands. People can control CyberDog's setting by using wake word or smartphone app.

The CyberDog can also be operatd using the companion remote. Users can also further customise the CyberDog using three USB Type-C ports and an HDMI connector.
