Meat Loaf, rock superstar who sang 'Bat Out of Hell', passes away at 74
Aday's 'Bat Out of Hell' remains one of the top 10 selling albums of all time.

The news of Loaf's death, otherwise known as Michael Lee Aday, was confirmed by his agent, who said that the musician died on January 20 with his wife Deborah by his side.
The cause of death has not been shared yet.
"Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight surrounded by his wife Deborah, daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends," read the statement put out on his official Facebook page.
The 74-year-old's career spanned six decades that saw him sell over 100 million albums worldwide. He also starred in over 65 movies, including 'Fight Club', 'Focus', 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' and 'Wayne’s World'.

"We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man. We thank you for your understanding of our need for privacy at this time.
From his heart to your souls…don’t ever stop rocking!" the statement added.
Some of his biggest hits include 'Not a Dry Eye in the House', 'Objects in the Read View Mirror May Appear Closer Than They Are', 'Paradise by the Dashboard Light' and more.
Aday formed his first band in Los Angeles called Meat Loaf Soul, named after the nickname that was actually coined by his football coach over his weight.
