McDreamy has us 'Enchanted'! Patrick Dempsey named 'People' magazine 'Sexiest Man Alive' for 2023
The 57-year-old Demspey has appeared in more than 250 episodes of the famed medical drama, 'Grey's Anatomy'.

Move over, Captain America! The world has a new sex symbol - and it's a star whom we have all loved looking at:

For avid TV watchers, and 'Grey's Anatomy' aficionados, it's "McDreamy" on top. The People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive 2023 Dempsey achieved cult status as Dr Derek Shepherd — who was nicknamed "McDreamy" — on 'Grey's Anatomy'. He appeared in more than 250 episodes in the medical drama series that was based on the personal and professional lives of surgical interns, residents, and doctors at the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital.
In an Instagram reel, the 'Grey's Anatomy' star and race car driver jokingly said that he is going to retain the crown for the next decade. He succeeds 'Captain America' star Chris Evans who was the chosen one in 2022.

The People magazine's pick was revealed on the Tuesday edition of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'.
In an interview with People, he said that he has always been the bridesmaid, referring to the earlier missed chances. "I’d completely forgotten about it and never even contemplated being in this position. So my ego is good," he said.
