A 75-year-old woman recently revealed how practising one hour of yoga daily in the morning kept her fit
She is 75, but her fitness levels will give many youngsters a run for their money. The Humans Of Bombay recently shared the story of Sushilji Bohra, who, even at her advanced age, has never weighed more than 50 kg in her life. According to The Humans Of Bombay, she practises yoga for one hour every day after waking up. The page also shared her life story.

She joined a large joint household with fifteen family members after getting married at the age of fifteen. Her days began early, with prayers at five in the morning and a hectic domestic schedule starting at six. She was busy all day with cooking, doing laundry by hand, taking care of the kids, and tending to regular guests. She eventually neglected her personal wants as she devoted herself to her family.

A significant turning point occurred ten years ago following her husband's passing. She had to deal with the risk of loneliness when the family abruptly became quieter. She made the decision to focus her attention on exercise rather than letting loneliness and grief rule her life.

She started working out on her terrace. She first learned about various yoga poses from television shows, and she was further inspired by watching others practise nearby. After that, she would go back home and try the exercises on her own. What began as a single yoga pose eventually evolved into a regular practice that included multiple poses.

Yoga eventually became a significant component of her daily schedule. She apparently wakes up at four in the morning, walks, does yoga twice a day, reads and studies, and keeps cleaning the whole house by herself.

Another frequent aspect of her lifestyle is walking. She would rather walk than rely on people whenever she has to get anywhere close. She is also willing to assist neighbours with home chores, such as papad-making.

For Sushilji, keeping physically busy has also evolved into a strategy for preserving emotional tranquillity. Her experience shows that staying active, self-sufficient, and involved can help make later years of life rewarding rather than limiting. Her active lifestyle at 75 shows that ageing does not have to mean giving up exercise, curiosity, or purpose.
