Marriages, marathons: The buzz among guests at ET Awards
From Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma to Mukesh Ambani, here are five things we found out about these top-bosses at the awards ceremony.

Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma was a man in a hurry. After a quick appearance, he quickly zipped out. The reason behind his rush? His upcoming nuptials with fiancée Asin. As a parting shot, he revealed that he’d be getting married in Mumbai, not Delhi, where he is based, later this month. Only a small do will be hosted in the capital for close friends and family.
Keeping pace with Jindal
Sajjan Jindal of JSW Steel, a regular at the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon, revealed he will be running again this year. When asked if he uses smartwear to monitor his biometric data, he said, “I am old school. I don’t use any such thing.”
Mukesh Ambani, host with the most?
Mr Sunshine
When the weather gets your employees down, what does a good CEO do? Bring some cheer. Mittu Chandilya, CEO, AirAsia India, attended the awards show only for an hour because he was slated to fly to Delhi later. The capital has been coping with heavy fog these last few weeks. Chandilya said that his CEO role demanded that he offer his employees in the city some much-needed morale boost.
Before he left the awards ceremony to attend actor Hrithik Roshan’s birthday bash, Adar Poonawalla offered an update on his family’s purchase of Lincoln House in Mumbai. The transaction hit a technical hurdle because of which the Poonawallas have held off on popping the bubbly. “I am shying away from this subject. As soon as the transaction with the defence ministry is complete, we will celebrate,” he said.
