Ameesha Patel is known for her acting skills and candid opinions. The actress recently shared her views on the subject while interacting with users on X (formerly Twitter), where she was asked whether it was appropriate for stars to bring additional team members at a producer's cost.

The discussion began during an X 'Ask Me Anything' session. A user asked Ameesha what she thought about actors carrying extra members of their entourage for shoots and promotional events, with the producer paying for their expenses. The user also asked whether she considered the practice fair.

Responding to the question, Ameesha pointed to the financial burden that large entourages can create for film producers. According to the actress, the costs can add up quickly when several people travel with a star during promotions and other work-related activities.


Ameesha questioned whether producers should be expected to cover these additional expenses. Her comments come at a time when film promotions often involve several people working with an actor, including stylists, makeup artists, hairdressers, managers and other members of their personal teams.

The actress also appeared to question whether all these expenses are necessary, particularly when a film is not generating enough money to justify such costs.

Ameesha says some entourages can cost more than Day 1 collections

One of Ameesha's strongest remarks was about the size of some female actors' entourages. She claimed that, "Many female actresses are in denial of their stardom. their enterouge during film promotions which comes at the cost of the producers are bigger then their day 1 collection. hope they have the same enterouge in their regular life minus a producer paying for it."

Her comments also raised a larger question about where the line should be drawn between professional requirements and personal expenses. While actors may need certain team members for their work, Ameesha questioned whether producers should have to pay for every person travelling with them.

Ameesha further questioned whether actors would continue to maintain such large entourages if they had to pay for them themselves. She said she would be interested to see whether the same stars would retain their extensive teams in their personal lives if producers were not picking up the bill.

The issue of celebrity entourages has been discussed in Bollywood for years, particularly as film budgets and production costs continue to be closely scrutinised. An actor's entourage can include people responsible for different aspects of their professional and personal requirements. Ameesha Patel's Bollywood journey

Ameesha Patel made her Bollywood debut with Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai in 2000, opposite Hrithik Roshan. Directed by Rakesh Roshan, the film became a major success and established both actors as leading newcomers at the time.

She went on to appear in several popular Hindi films, including Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Humraaz, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Race 2. Among her most recognised roles is Sakeena in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, where she starred opposite Sunny Deol.

Ameesha later returned to the character for Gadar 2 in 2023. The sequel reunited the original lead characters and continued the story of Tara Singh and Sakeena. The film became one of the major Hindi releases of the year and brought the franchise back into the spotlight.
