Manu Kumar Jain has a 'big fan-boy moment' with Mukesh Ambani!

Manu Kumar Jain on Friday updated followers on social media about a 'big fan-boy moment' that he had experienced recently. Jain, who is the Global Vice-President of Xiaomi, seemed to be on cloud nine after having met billionaire Mukesh Ambani.

The Xiaomi top executive, who is now based in Dubai, posted an undated picture where he is seen with the Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman. In his caption, Jain calls Ambani, "a true visionary and one of the most respected business leaders in the country!"

Bowled over by his "humble and simple nature", Jain wrote in his "fan-boy moment" post that he found Ambani - whose net worth is $ 8,810 crore as listed by Forbes in January 2023 - to be extremely "grounded and friendly person."


Jain, who joined the Xiaomi group in 2014 to start the brand's India chapter, also lauded Ambani's vision and leadership, hailing him for revolutionising the "way we connect with each other through reliable and affordable 4G."
The Indian Institute of Management -Calcutta alumnus in his update wrote that he is also optimistic about the country's 5G journey and feels that "5G will further turbo-charge India and take us to new heights of growth and development." Reliance Jio, the telecom arm of RIL, on Wednesday expanded its 5G coverage to 101 cities in the country with launches in Uttarakhand and Tamil Nadu.

Jain's adulation for the oil-to-telecom tycoon was encapsulated in his sign-off, as he thanked "Mukesh bhai for taking out time", and wrote that he is an inspiration to entrepreneurs across the country. Jain, who started his career with Genpact, has been the co-founder of apparel ecommerce website Jabong in 2012.
