It is marathon season and everyone from amateurs to running veterans are pulling up their socks. However, Manish Sinha, MD of Dun & Bradsreet India, finds trailwalking more exciting. “I have participated in multiple trailwalks across Mumbai and Bangalore since 2013. I usually do the 100-km trail, though Oxfam also has a 50-km version. The last trek I participated in was in 2017,” he says.

Obviously trekking 100 km is no joke and Sinha has a regimen that he follows while preparing for it.

“Usually you build up your stamina starting with a single walk of 10 kms and then building up to 60-70 kms. A key part of the training is to be able to walk through the night, so my training also involves a few night walks. We usually start at around 9 pm and go on till morning or afternoon the following day,” he said. And this test of endurance is something Sinha says he wants to continue doing for the next 20 years.

A snake nearly made it on a plane. This is not the brief of a horror movie but something that happened at Miami International Airport in July this year.

The Transportation Security Administration discovered a large python coiled inside an external hard drive tucked away discreetly inside a piece of luggage.

The live snake and its sneaky owner were both not allowed on their Barbados-bound flight. TSA put up a post and cheekily added, “Conversationally, this python had not gone full monty. It was wearing a nylon stocking.”
