Manish Arora’s fashion advice for the season: Go all out with colours and prints

If there’s something in common between Katy Perry, Kangana Ranaut and Sonam Kapoor, it’s that they have all been dressed by designer Manish Arora. While Arora has designed for these fashionistas, the artist in him is glad that Indians have also started warming up to brave fashion choices, thanks to travelling. “The fashion scene is getting bolder and because people are so well-travelled now, they’re open to experimenting with their sartorial choices,” Arora said.

And what is it that inspires him? “The Burning Man festival really inspires my designs. When you have nothing, you can be your most creative. Here you’re without any internet, money or in touch with people, except for those at the festival,” he said. As for fashion tips this festive season, Manish’s advice is to go all out. “Go crazy is my mantra. Experiment with colours and prints or use pop accessories like funky shoes or cool backpacks,” he said.
