Mandaadi OTT release update: When and where to watch Tamil sports drama which has crossed Rs 100 crore at box office?

One Tamil sports drama film is currently setting the box office on fire. Mandaadi (Sea Wanderer), helmed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, which was released on the big screens on September 10, has reportedly crossed Rs 100 crore at the box office, as per reports. As per a 123Telugu.com report, the movie marks the first film featuring Soori in a lead role to have accomplished this feat. The movie, which marks Telugu actor Suhas’s Tamil debut, had been received well in Telugu states as well. Many fans of Soori and Suhas are now eagerly awaiting the movie’s OTT debut.

When Can You Watch Mandaadi On OTT?

According to a Times of India report, the movie’s digital streaming rights have been acquired by OTT giant Netflix. However, the exact date of the hit film’s OTT debut has not been announced yet. The movie will be in the theatres for a while and may arrive on the digital sphere during or around Dussehra after it has completed its theatrical run.

About Mandaadi

The movie revolves around Muthukaali, a traditional boat racer of "Mugavai Maindhans" in Ramanathapuram, who has given up his passion and works as a lifeguard in Chennai after a tragic rift. In his absence, the unscrupulous Sattapuli dominates the ocean with the Tsunami Riders and triggers violent skirmishes between the fishing communities. Muthukaali is forced to come out of his self-imposed hiatus to train an underdog fishermen crew for a festive race when a friend requests him earnestly. Mandaadi emerged as the fourth most profitable Tamil language film of 2026.


The movie was officially announced in January 2025 with the temporary name Soori's Next; the official title was shared in April of that year. The filming started in the middle of 2025 and finished in April 2026. The film has music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography handled by S. R. Kathir and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav.
