Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu OTT release details
Zee5, earlier known as ZEE5, has officially announced that Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu will stream on its platform soon. The film’s digital rights were secured by the streaming service for a reported record price, reflecting its massive theatrical performance. While the platform has not announced an exact time yet, the digital premiere is expected to begin on February 11, 2026, following the standard four-week theatrical window. This move marks a significant digital push for the film, which continues to enjoy steady footfalls in cinemas even weeks after its release. The OTT release will allow the film to reach a wider home audience while extending its overall lifecycle beyond theatres.
One of the major highlights of the OTT release is the decision to stream the film in seven languages. Along with the original Telugu version, the film will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, and Bangla. This is a rare move for a Telugu film in recent times and signals a clear intent by the makers to tap into pan-India and regional digital audiences.
Industry observers see this multilingual strategy as a key reason why the film is expected to perform strongly on OTT as well, especially in markets where Chiranjeevi enjoys long-standing popularity.
Box office performance and theatrical success
Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu opened to positive word of mouth from its first show and maintained strong collections throughout its theatrical run. The film reportedly crossed the Rs. 400 crore mark worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing regional films of all time. Even after three weeks in theatres, the film continued to draw audiences, particularly during the festive Sankranthi season. The film’s success stood out at a time when several big-budget releases struggled to sustain momentum at the box office, further reinforcing Chiranjeevi’s box office pull.
Cast, crew, and storyline
The film features Nayanthara as the female lead opposite Chiranjeevi, while Victory Venkatesh appears in an extended cameo that was well received by audiences. The supporting cast includes Sachin Khedekar, Harsha Vardhan, Zarina Wahab, Catherine Tresa, Abhinav Gomatam, Sarath Saxena, and Master Revanth in key roles. The Economic Times Business News App for the Latest News in Business, Sensex, Stock Market Updates & More.
