Mukesh Ambani fan club gets a new entrant: Varun Chaudhary

India’s richest man and Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani’s business leadership is an inspiration to many. Varun Chaudhary, executive director, CG Corp Global joins that list of admirers. But here’s the reason why — because of what he has done with his father Dhirubhai Ambani’s legacy.

Varun is the son of Nepal’s first billionaire Binod Chaudhary, so he knows a thing or two about inheritance. “A lot of heirs inherit their father’s businesses. But few have done what Mukesh Ambani has done, having taken it to such successful heights,” says Chaudhary. His own role model, however, is his father, from whom he has learnt never to give up.

“Since I was a child, I have seen my father manage all kind of challenges, be it political or otherwise,” says Chaudhary, “He navigated troubled waters and saw opportunities where others only saw difficulties. We entered the Sri Lankan landscape when it was marred by civil strife. Today, we have some of our strongest business relationships there.”
