LOS ANGELES: A 22-year-old man pleaded not guilty to breaking into pop star Miley Cyrus' Toluca Lake, California, home last month.

Rusty Edward Sellner is charged with one felony count apiece of first-degree residential burglary, receiving stolen property and grand theft, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

There was no word as to whether or not Cyrus, 22, was at home at the time of the alleged December 16 burglary, but her Instagram suggests that she was out of town.

Sellner has two prior convictions in Ventura County for burglary and evading arrest, and he is facing a maximum sentence of seven years and eight months in prison if convicted on all charges in this case.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for January 20.
