Man enters girlfriend's house as lover, exits as husband

BAREILLY: The man had no intention of marriage when he sneaked into his lover's home at Zahurganj village. The youth, from Baheri tehsil, was confronted by members of his lovers' family. He managed to convince her family that he was indeed committed to the woman. The lover's kin then forced a marriage on the couple, and the youth emerged a married man, much to the chagrin of his own kin.

Baheri circle officer Pramod Yadav said, "We are aware of the incident. But since no police complaint was filed and the issue was resolved amicably, our intervention wasn't required."

According to villagers, the girl was in a relationship with the boy for some time. However, the girl's family was opposed to this alliance; so, they recently fixed her marriage with a boy from another village.

When the boy came to know of this, he came to the girl's village on Sunday evening and managed to sneak into her room in the dead of night. When the girl's kin got a whiff of his presence in the house, they caught him and gave him a sound thrashing.

Hearing noises, neighbours and a few other villagers gathered at the spot and advised the family to get the two married. The girl's family hurriedly arranged for a mandap in a nearby temple and two were married in a simple ceremony at the daybreak.

The boy who sneaked into the house as a thief under cover of darkness emerged of this as a married man.

The boy's family was surprised at the development but welcomed the newly-weds into the household nonetheless.
