Despite having an enviable take-home salary of Rs 2.5 lakh per month, the lion’s share of his salary was spent on rent, groceries, travels, WiFI etc.

₹20k - Travel & lifestyle

His monthly savings were negligent, barely coming up to Rs 5,000.

One commenter shared a tip on how to curtail expenses. “Ask him to buy less on emis and loans, reduce travel & lifestyle to minimalist and rent a cab for necessary travel only. That will save him 50K per month, eating in will save him another 15K, renting a smaller 1bhk will save him 50K. So 1.15 lakh savings, round it to 1 lpm…” read the comment.
