While working on holidays can get you instant likes and appreciation on LinkedIn, on LinkedIn Lunatics, it gets you nothing except a laughingstock. Redditors had a field day responding to the post. Many mocked his display of workaholism. “He could just, idk, enjoy the place? read a book? Wtf, life gotta be about work for these weirdos?” commented one user.

“It's virtue signaling to an audience that values "hustle culture" so they get validated for their lack of personal life and value because they're "so dedicated to the grind,” added another.

“I guess being a degenerate workaholic is something to brag about now. If I find myself in a beautiful hotel lobby, I get a coffee, read the newspaper, or read a book like a human. Compulsively posting a picture of my laptop to LinkedIn seems unhinged,” quipped another Redditor.

Another commented, “These staged hustle-bro posts scream desperation. Honestly, if I were a small business looking for a fractional CMO, I'd scroll past this guy, but not for the reason you might think. Zoom into his photo. See all those empty icons [?] in his dock? Maybe it’s me, but if someone’s this lacking in basic housekeeping and attention to detail, I’m not letting him anywhere near my marketing projects.

Stewart is a marketing consultant.
