Malayali actor Nirmal Benny breathed his last at his Thiruvananthapuram home in the early hours of August 23. His longtime friend, producer Sanjay Padiyoor, shared the sad news on Friday morning. In his post, he shared that the producer had passed away from a heart attack.

The actor was 37 years old.

"Bidding adieu to my dear friend... The Kochachan role of Amen and the central character he played in my ‘Dooram’. He died early this morning due to a heart attack. Praying to God that the soul of my dear friend rest in eternal peace," wrote Padiyoor in his emotional farewell post.


A versatile actor, Benny rose to prominence, for his powerful performance in the role of junior priest named Kochachan in the critically praised film 'Amen' directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. His entry into the world of cinema began in 2012 with his debut in the movie 'Navagatharkku Swagatham.'

Following this, Nirmal has been featured in five films, including 'Amen' and 'Dooram.' Additionally, he has established a notable presence online, particularly through his appearances in YouTube videos.
