Reflecting on his son Pranav Mohanlal, who leads a balanced life by blending his acting career with a passion for travel, Mohanlal shared striking parallels between their aspirations. “Pranav won a best actor award in school when he was in sixth grade, just as I did. We fully support him; let him live his life the way he wants,” Mohanlal said during a conversation with Suhasini Maniratnam for Galatta Tamil.
He further elaborated on his own youthful dreams, revealing how his father’s advice shaped his path. “When I shared my desire to pursue a career in cinema, my father insisted that I first complete my undergraduate degree and then follow my passion. I hold the same belief today. Why should we control our kids? At Pranav’s age, I also wanted to quit films and travel the world. I am happy that he’s able to accomplish my dreams too,” Mohanlal remarked.
The superstar’s candid reflections offer a glimpse into his personal journey and values, highlighting a refreshing perspective on individual freedom and familial support. Mohanlal’s evolution, both as an artist and a father, underscores his deep-rooted commitment to embracing life’s varied possibilities.
