From a Malayalam thriller featuring Vismaya Mohanlal to Ravi Teja’s action-packed Irumudi, there is plenty to choose from once Friday arrives. Here are the movies you can add to your OTT watchlist this week.

Idi Mazha Kaattu – Saina Play

The Malayalam comedy-thriller Idi Mazha Kaattu is scheduled to start streaming exclusively on Saina Play on September 18, 2026. Directed by Ambili S. Rengan, the film features Chemban Vinod, Sreenath Bhasi, Senthil Krishna, Sudhi Koppa and Pooja Deb in key roles.

The story follows a migrant worker from West Bengal who arrives in Kerala only to discover that her belongings have been stolen. What follows is far from a simple search for her missing property. She ends up travelling with four quirky local men, leading to a chaotic road trip filled with unexpected situations and humour.

Ravi Teja’s action drama Irumudi is set to make its digital debut on Netflix on September 18. The film will stream with its original Telugu audio as well as a Malayalam dubbed version. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, it stars Ravi Teja, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Sai Kumar and Swasika, with music and background score by G.V. Prakash Kumar.

The film follows Trinadh, an alcohol-addicted driver with a violent past whose life changes when his daughter suddenly goes missing. Determined to find out what happened to her, he begins an emotional and high-stakes investigation.

The film had a successful theatrical run and reportedly crossed the ₹200 crore mark, making its arrival on Netflix one of the week's major releases. For Ravi Teja fans who missed the film in theatres, the OTT premiere gives them a chance to catch the action drama from home.

Modha Rathri – Netflix

The Tamil comedy drama Modha Rathri will also premiere on Netflix on September 18. Directed by Raja Karuppasamy, the film stars Rishikanth, Anishma Anilkumar, Shelly Kishore, Chetan and Bagavathi Perumal.

The story revolves around Maruthu and Muthuselvi, two people brought together through an arranged marriage. However, marriage is not as straightforward as it appears, with the couple entering the relationship with different expectations and their own emotional baggage.

The film brings together marriage, family pressure and village traditions while exploring what happens when two people with very different ideas about life are suddenly expected to build a future together. Its comedy-drama format makes it a potentially easy weekend watch.

Idi Mazha Kaattu leans into comedy and an unusual road-trip story, while Irumudi brings action and an emotional father-daughter mystery.
