Malayalam movie Chatha Pacha OTT release date announced: When and where to watch Arjun Ashokan’s action comedy

After packing a punch at the box office for nearly a month, Chatha Pacha is ready to enter the digital ring. The Malayalam action-comedy, which emerged as the first major hit of 2026 for the industry, is now gearing up for its OTT premiere. Audiences who missed the theatrical madness can finally catch the wrestling drama from the comfort of their homes, as its streaming date has officially been locked.

When and where to watch

The film, Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies, will begin streaming on Netflix from 19 February. Expanding its reach beyond Kerala, the platform will release it in five languages — Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi — making the high-energy entertainer accessible to a wider audience across the country. The announcement was made through Netflix’s social media channels, confirming the release date and multilingual rollout.

What the film is about

Directed by Adhvaith Nayar and written by Sanoop Thykoodam, the story revolves around three brothers who launch an amateur, WWE-inspired underground wrestling promotion in Fort Kochi. What begins as a bold, homegrown venture spirals into a chaotic and entertaining journey filled with ambition, sibling dynamics, and over-the-top ring action.


The film features a strong ensemble cast including Arjun Ashokan, Roshan Mathew, Vishak Nair, and Ishan Shoukath in key roles. Supporting performances come from Siddique and Lakshmi Menon. Music for the film has been composed by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, adding to the film’s energetic tone.

Released in theatres on 22 January 2026, Chatha Pacha received mixed to positive responses from critics and audiences. Performances, direction, screenplay, writing, cinematography, music, background score, dialogues, visuals, pacing, execution, and its portrayal of WWE-style wrestling were widely appreciated.
