On Tuesday, the instant-messaging platform rolled out two new safety features 'Flash Calls' and 'Message Level Reporting' for users in India. Both these features will offer users better security and control over their usage of the app.

Flash Calls will allow new Android users or those who like to update their devices frequently to log in. The feature will make verification easier with an automated call instead of an SMS.

Giving users more freedom to flag the content they don't like, people can report a particular message received on WhatsApp through the Message Level Reporting feature. This can be done by simply long pressing a particular message to either report or block a user.
