Maharashtra Assembly polls: Salman Khan's bodyguard Shera joins Shiv Sena

With just 3 days to go for the Assembly polls in Maharashtra, Bollywood actor Salman Khan's long-time aide Gurmeet Singh alias Shera, on Friday, joined the Shiv Sena.

Shiv Sena took to its official Twitter handle to make the formal announcement.



He joined Shiv Sena in presence of party chief Uddhav Thackeray and Yuva Sena President, Aditya Thackeray at their residence, Matoshree.

Maharashtra will go to polls on Monday, and the counting of votes will take place on October 24.

Shera has been by Khan's side for over two decades, and the actor also dedicated his 2011 film 'Bodyguard' to him. In addition to being the 'Dabangg' star's aide, he also owns and runs Tiger Security Services, an agency that provides security to several high-profile clients.

Gurmeet Singh, aka Shera, has been Khan's aide for over 20 years.

While the agency's website lists Sohail Khan and Sanjay Dutt amongst its clients, Shera famously also escorted Justin Bieber during the singer's Mumbai concert in 2017.
