Here are some recommendations from Mr. Vyas that add up to the simple joys of life:-

Phone: I am a gadget freak and own an iPhone 5 and BlacKberry z10. I use an Apple Mac desktop at work and wear a Tag Heuer watch.

Book: I recommend Wings of Fire by Dr. APJ Kalam. It’s a journey full of courage and belief. I never tire of readIng the Mahabharata — It’s a treasure trove of management principles.

Restaurant: For a vegetarian like me, nothing beats the range of mouth-watering dishes served at Rajdhani Rasovara at the Palladium, mumbai. My other favourites are Andhra Bhawan in delhi and Jhaal Farezi in Kolkata.

Music: The Venkateshwara Suprabhatam chant Keeps playing in the background in my office all day. I also love sufi music.

Movie: I like watching Lagaan , which is about motivating a mediocre team to achieve greatness. The oscar-winning Captain Phillips demonstrates the importance of keeping cool and using your mind to overcome a tense situation — it’s inspiring.
