Maha Kumbh 2025: Hema Malini spotted laughing at Baba Ramdev's hair flip during holy dip

Renowned actress and Parliamentarian Hema Malini recently participated in the grand Maha Kumbh held in Prayagraj. She immersed herself in the sacred waters of the Triveni Sangam on the auspicious occasion of Mauni Amavasya. A video capturing a lighthearted moment from the event has now emerged on social media, featuring her sharing a hearty laugh at the amusing antics of yoga guru Baba Ramdev.

The footage showcases several VIPs and numerous devotees performing the ritualistic dip in the holy river, including Hema Malini. However, when it was Baba Ramdev’s turn, an unexpected incident occurred. Someone untied his long tresses, prompting him to perform a dramatic hair flip. His wet locks inadvertently struck individuals standing behind him—not once, but twice. Hema Malini noticed the comical scene and immediately burst into laughter.

Celebrities At Maha Kumbh

In addition to Hema Malini, several other celebrities graced the spiritual gathering. Notable attendees included comedian Sunil Grover, filmmaker Kabir Khan, singer Guru Randhawa, actor Avinash Tiwary, actress Mamta Kulkarni, and veteran actor Anupam Kher. Their presence added to the grandeur of the religious congregation.



The Maha Kumbh, which commenced on January 13, is set to continue until February 26. The upcoming key 'snan' (holy bath) dates include February 3 (Basant Panchami—Third Shahi Snan), February 12 (Maghi Purnima), and February 26 (Maha Shivaratri), drawing millions of devotees seeking spiritual purification.

Hema Malini’s Spiritual Journey

Reflecting on her pilgrimage, Hema Malini expressed deep gratitude for the experience. She remarked, “It is an immense blessing to have had the chance to take a sacred bath on such an auspicious occasion.”

The veteran actress arrived at the Maha Kumbh on Monday evening. As per an official statement released by the Uttar Pradesh government, "Distinguished actress and Mathura’s Member of Parliament, Hema Malini, engaged in a spiritual discourse with Junapeethadhishwar Mahamandaleshwar Acharya Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj, revered as 'Pujya Prabhushri Ji,' at the Prabhu Premi Sangh Kumbh Camp in Prayagraj and received his divine blessings."

Accompanying the statement, the government also shared a series of images showcasing Hema Malini’s interaction with the spiritual leader.

High-Profile Visits At Maha Kumbh

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also visited the Maha Kumbh on Monday, accompanied by his family. During his visit, he sought blessings from Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj and met several other revered seers.

On the same day, a staggering 1.55 crore devotees performed the holy dip at the Maha Kumbh, contributing to the overall count of over 14.76 crore pilgrims who have participated in the sacred ritual so far, according to government estimates.

The Maha Kumbh continues to be a significant spiritual event, drawing millions of seekers in pursuit of divine blessings and purification.
