The film is expected to be available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, giving it a wider digital reach than its original theatrical release.

What is Magudam about?
The story revolves around Vishal’s characters and the complicated relationship between a father and his son. One of his characters is Kirubakaran, known as Kiruba, who has chosen a relatively peaceful life away from the violent world associated with his father.Vishal also plays Don Lingappa, or Linga, a powerful gangster. The story takes a darker turn after Kiruba suffers a devastating personal loss involving his wife and daughter. The tragedy pulls him back towards violence and revenge, eventually bringing him closer to his estranged father.
The film moves between different timelines while exploring the relationship between the two characters. Alongside the emotional conflict, the story uses gang rivalry, betrayal and revenge to drive the action.
Vishal's directorial debut and cast
Magudam is a significant film in Vishal’s career because he stepped into the director’s role while continuing to play the lead.
