Acting on a complaint filed by KVN Productions, authorities registered a case and began tracking the source of the leak. A special team was formed to handle the case, focusing on identifying and blocking illegal links, carrying out digital forensic analysis, and tracing those involved in distributing the pirated content.According to The Hindu report, six individuals have been arrested for their alleged involvement in uploading and circulating pirated copies of the film. These copies were reportedly shared through cloud storage platforms and drive links. Officials also confirmed that digital evidence has been seized during the investigation, and further action is expected as the probe continues.
R Madhavan reacts to the leak
The controversy has drawn strong reactions from members of the film industry. Actor R. Madhavan was among the latest to speak out. Reacting to the leak, he expressed deep disappointment and described the situation as extremely upsetting. Earlier, the makers of the film had also issued a statement condemning the leak. They appealed to viewers not to watch or share any unauthorized content and warned that strict legal action would be taken against those found responsible. According to the production house, not just a few clips but, in some cases, nearly the entire film had been illegally circulated online.
Apart from Vijay, Jana Nayagan features a strong supporting cast including Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol.
