Made in Korea Season 2 OTT release date and platform details: When and where to watch Hyun Bin, Jung Woosung's crime noir K-drama in India

Made in Korea is returning with a second season, bringing back Hyun Bin, Jung Woosung and Woo Dohwan for another chapter of the crime noir drama. The upcoming season will pick up several years after the events of the first instalment and will once again revolve around power, ambition, revenge and betrayal.

Season 2 will premiere on September 9, 2026, with the series streaming on Disney+ and Hulu. In India, the first season is available through JioHotstar, and the second season is expected to follow the same platform. However, an official India-specific streaming confirmation for Season 2 is yet to be announced.

Made in Korea Season 2: Release date and episode schedule

The second season will consist of six episodes. It will begin with a two-episode premiere on September 9, followed by two new episodes each Wednesday, bringing the season to its conclusion on September 23.


The story is set nine years after the events of the first season. Hyun Bin returns as Baek Kitae, whose ambitions have taken him much further than before. After framing prosecutor Jang Geonyoung, Kitae has continued to build his power and influence.

He is now positioned within the Korean CIA as a deputy director while expanding his wealth and criminal operations. His rise, however, is threatened by the return of an old enemy.

Jung Woosung reprises his role as prosecutor Jang Geonyoung. After remaining away from the spotlight, Geonyoung returns with a long-awaited plan for revenge against Kitae. His pursuit is expected to push the two characters into an even more dangerous confrontation.

Woo Dohwan also returns as Baek Kihyun, Kitae’s brother. His character is caught between his own ambitions and his complicated relationship with his brother, adding another layer to the power struggle.

The new season will therefore focus heavily on the escalating battle between Kitae and Geonyoung, while Kihyun’s choices could further destabilise the situation.

Hyun Bin and Jung Woosung return with a darker battle

The upcoming season continues the political and crime-driven world established in the first installment. Rather than simply repeating the story of the first season, the new chapter moves the characters forward and shows how their ambitions have evolved over the years.

Kitae has reached a position of greater authority, but his success comes with new risks. Geonyoung, meanwhile, has spent years preparing to strike back. Their conflicting goals are expected to drive the main storyline.

The three lead characters also feature prominently in the promotional material released ahead of the new season. The posters highlight the tension between Kitae, Geonyoung and Kihyun, suggesting that their relationships will become increasingly complicated.

Along with Hyun Bin, Jung Woosung and Woo Dohwan, the cast includes Seo Eunsoo, Won Jian, Jung Sungil and No Jaewon.

Behind the camera, Park Eunkyo returns as the screenwriter. She also worked on the first season and is known for projects including The Silent Sea and Mother. Woo Minho, who directed Season 1, is also back in the director’s chair.

Made in Korea Season 2: What to expect

The first season established Made in Korea as a political thriller set against a backdrop of crime, corruption and ambition. It followed Baek Kitae, a government intelligence operative leading a double life while secretly running an illegal smuggling operation.

His growing ambitions eventually brought him into conflict with prosecutor Jang Geonyoung, who refused to be controlled or bought. Season 2 takes that conflict several years into the future and raises the stakes considerably.

The first season performed strongly on Disney+, becoming the platform’s most-watched Korean original series premiere of 2025 in the Asia-Pacific region.
