Made In Korea OTT release date confirmed: When and where to watch Priyanka Arul Mohan's Tamil movie online

A new Tamil film is set to explore love, heartbreak and self-discovery against the backdrop of South Korea. Titled Made In Korea, the upcoming project brings together Indian and Korean talent for a cross-cultural story that promises warmth and emotional depth. Headlined by Priyanka Mohan and Park Hye-Jin, the film revolves around a young woman’s journey far away from home and how unexpected experiences reshape her life. Now, the film is all set for its digital debut next month.

The makers have now confirmed that the film will premiere on Netflix on March 12. The Tamil original will stream exclusively on the platform, making it accessible to audiences in India and globally. With the rise in popularity of Korean culture among Indian viewers, the digital release is expected to draw major attention. The movie will also be available in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.



Directed by Ra Karthik, the film marks another step for the filmmaker after his well-received drama Nitham Oru Vaanam, which starred Ashok Selvan. Known for bringing emotional narratives, Ra Karthik once again delves into human relationships, but this time places his story in an international setting.

As the title suggests, Made In Korea unfolds in South Korea and highlights cultural similarities between Korean and Tamil traditions. At the centre of the story is Shenba, played by Priyanka Mohan. Shenba dreams of visiting Korea with her boyfriend, but her plans collapse after she faces betrayal. Left alone in Seoul, she must navigate an unfamiliar land while coping with heartbreak.

What follows is not just a tale of survival but one of transformation. Shenba confronts loneliness, language barriers and cultural differences. Over time, she learns to stand on her own feet and forms meaningful friendships that change her outlook on life. The film promises a slice-of-life approach.


Speaking about the project, Ra Karthik shared that he has long been intrigued by the historical and cultural connections between Korea and Tamil Nadu. He explained that this curiosity motivated him to tell a story that feels intimate yet universal. According to the director, the film aims to celebrate shared traditions and human resilience, while presenting a hopeful narrative that can connect with viewers across languages.

Priyanka Mohan also opened up about her role, saying she immediately connected with Shenba’s sense of wonder and curiosity about Korea. She mentioned that the character’s emotional arc felt genuine from the very first narration. Being part of a Netflix original, she added, made the journey even more special for her as an actor.

The film is produced by Srinidhi Sagar under the banner of Rise East Entertainment. Supporting cast members include Rishikanth, Baek Si-hoon, Jaehyun Jang, Kim So-ri, Ha Ram and Kim Rok, further strengthening the cross-border collaboration.
