Watch: Mercedes-Benz Maybach S650 launched at Auto Expo 2018
German luxury auto major Mercedes on Wednesday launched the new Maybach at Rs. 2.73 crore and showcased the new All-Terrain E Class at the ongoing Auto Expo.
The Maybach S650 will be the first car from Mercedes to get a Bharat Stage VI engine and will be made in India.
The company also showcased the unique E-Class All-Terrain for its upcoming India debut. With ‘Concept EQ’ Mercedes-Benz showcased how electric cars can soon move into the fast lane: the concept vehicle, with the appearance of a sporty SUV, gives a preview of a new generation of vehicles with battery-electric drives.

"Despite some challenges we had a great 2017. We sold over 15000 units a d became the first luxury car manufacturer to do so," said Roland Folger, MD and CEO, Mercedes Benz India.

India is the only country outside Germany to manufacture the Maybach and the new car is powered by a new V12 M 279 engine with an output of 463 kW (630 hp) and 1000 Nm Torque.

Honda unveiled the next generation Amaze which is being developed at Honda's R&D base in Thailand, but has also seen more inputs from the Honda India engineering team. The new car carries significant upgrades, including a more powerful iteration of the 1.5 diesel. The petrol 1.2-litre engine remains unchanged and comes with 87 bhp under its hood.
