Maa Ka Sum OTT release date revealed: When and where to watch Mona Singh, Mihir Ahuja’s mathematical comedy drama

Mona Singh seems to be ruling the OTT space. The actress, who recently made a powerful performance as Inspector Dhanwant in the Netflix murder mystery Kohrra 2 (February 11, 2026), co-starring Barun Sobti, is back with another refreshing comedy drama, titled Maa Ka Sum. The series, directed by Nicholas Kharkongor, also stars The Archies fame Mihir Ahuja, alongside Ranveer Brar and Angira Dhar. Mona Singh fans, the countdown begins as the makers have already announced the show’s release date and streaming platform.

Maa Ka Sum, consisting of 8 episodes, will be streaming on Prime Video from April 3, 2026. The show, written by Ravinder Randhawa and Sumrit Shahi, will be available in Hindi with subtitles in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.


Maa Ka Sum portrays the usual mother-son story through a different lens. Mona Singh slips into the shoes of a single mother, Vinita, while Mihir Ahuja essays the role of her on-screen, 19-year-old son, Agastya.

Maa Ka Sum plot details

Agastya, a mathematical genius, perceives the world through logic, algorithms, graphs and calculations. He believes that even the most complex and layered human connections can be deciphered and resolved through numbers because, in his world, figures are absolute.

While Vinita’s entire life revolves around the well-being of her son, Agastya, on the other hand, is hell-bent on helping his mother to find a partner so that she can give love a second chance. To carry out the mission, Agastya plays Cupid by introducing his ambitious initiative ‘Project MOM’.
