Luxury on high seas: Worth Rs 196 crores, Wider 150 superyacht Genesi is a beast

A project that started in November last year has finally taken shape in the form of one of the most covetable yachts in the world, Wider 150 superyacht Genesi priced at €26mn (Rs 196 crore).

Riding on power
A main feature of the yacht is the exceptional power management system. It works effectively in various modes for operations using the lithium polymer battery banks that can power the entire system for up to eight hours in a zero emission mode. While the on-board power is ecofriendly, the yacht itself works on a diesel-electric propulsion system combined with Azimuthal pods that allow fuel efficiency and speed. It offers a range of 4,200nm at a speed of 11 knots with a maximum speed of 15 knots.

Spacious and elegant
The pristine white body is made of aluminium, and is created by designer Fulvio De Simoni in collaboration with Wider Founder and CEO, Tilli Antonelli. Inside the yacht is a saloon split into two large living spaces. One is a lavish full-beam owner’s apartment with a sea terrace, and the other houses guest quarters with four en-suite cabins. The elegant, contemporary interiors are adorned with Poltrona Frau furniture and upholstery. The yacht also features a spacious entertaining area, complete with sofas and flat-screen TV. This is further complemented by a covered 7m seawater swimming pool and a large sun deck fitted with a full bar, barbecue and spa.
