Lust Stories 3 trailer teases four tales, where love and attraction turn complicated. When and where to watch on OTT

Lust Stories 3 is all set to return this September, and the trailer for the third instalment of the successful anthology film series, which was released by Netflix, has already created a stir. Like its predecessors, Lust Stories 3 will also be an anthology film. The trailer centres around four stories about different characters. One of the stories seems to revolve around Aditi Rao Hydari. In the trailer, she appears sensual and ethereally beautiful, wearing bright red lipstick and a silver nose ring. She says in one moment that women are not like lightbulbs that can be turned on and off.

She is also shown being paired opposite her real-life husband, actor Siddharth, who cups her face and compliments her red face and asks why she is burning up. “We don’t burn; we simply melt,” she reflects, comparing female desire to candles. In another scene, Siddharth is seen working on his bike, and he announces, "Begum, the phat-phati (one of the oldest bikes in Delhi) is ready,” to which Aditi’s character laments that she’s waiting for the day that he can spare the dedication he has for bikes to prepare his begum. Later, she is seen explaining to her students that the writer's goal and aesthetics determine the level of vulgarity.

Another story stars Radhika Madan and Ali Fazal as a married couple who are experiencing some marital difficulties. In one scene, they are shown to be wed in a Marathi wedding ceremony. In another scene, the couple is seen in a more sombre mood as they discuss how their marriage have hit a dead end. When Radhika tells Ali he needs to invest if he expects returns, Ali responds that he has already given up on life when he got married. She then sarcastically retorts if he did a favour by marrying her.


In another scene, Radhika Apte and Konkona Sen Sharma are shown having light-hearted banter about boys and fireworks. Konkona says she is hoping for some "fireworks", referring to the sizzling chemistry between two characters, Min and Jin. Radhika deadpans that this is Kandivali, not Korea.

One of the segments also introduces Gurfateh Pirzada and Sana Thampi as Karan and Lisa. They flirt with the linguistic barrier in their succinct introduction.

Additionally, Konkona, Abhishek Banerjee, and Vijay Varma engage in a light-hearted conversation. Konkona asks Abhishek suggestively if he can unwrap as well as wrap.

The four stories are helmed by different, critically acclaimed directors: Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra, and Vishal Bhardwaj. According to a press release published by Netflix, the four stories will explore not just desire and love but also heartbreak. The third instalment will feature some of the finest contemporary actors, such as Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari, Radhika Madan, Sana Thampi, Vijay Varma, Abhishek Banerjee, Siddharth, Ali Fazal, and Gurfateh Pirzada.

Lust Stories was an anthology film released in 2018 and starred actors such as Radhika Apte, Bhumi Pednekar, Manisha Koirala, Kiara Advani, Vicky Kaushal, Akash Thosar, and Neha Dhupia. The movie received an Emmy nomination for Best TV Movie or Miniseries and Best Actress for Apte. A sequel was released in 2023.
