‘Love you Nanna, my superstar.’ Mahesh Babu pens heartfelt note for late father Krishna

“I will carry forward your legacy, I will make you even more proud.” Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu poured his heart in an emotional note that he dedicated to his late father Krishna. The doyen of Telugu cinema, Krishna, passed away at the age of 79 on November 15. The veteran actor was accorded a state funeral.

Almost 10 days after the passing away of his father, Mahesh Babu has penned a heartfelt note remembering his father. The ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ actor took to his Twitter account to share the note along with a black and white picture of his father. It has been a difficult year for the 47-year-old actor as he lost his brother Ramesh Babu, mother Indira Devi and now father Krishna.

Mahesh Babu said that the actor’s (Krishna) life was celebrated and that his passing away has been celebrated even more. He remembered his father as someone who lived fearlessly and that he was both daring and dashing. Mahesh Babu went on to call his father his source of inspiration and courage. Lamenting the loss, the ‘Pokiri’ actor said that all that he looked up to and mattered to him the most are gone in a blink of an eye.


However, the actor also said that he also feels strong, fearless and that his father’s light will shine on him forever.
“Your life was celebrated...your passing is being celebrated even more...such is your greatness. You lived your life fearlessly...daring and dashing was your nature. My inspiration...my courage...and all that I looked up to and all that really mattered are gone just like that. But strangely, I feel this strength in me which I never really felt before...Now I'm fearless... your light will shine in me forever...I will carry your legacy forward...I will make you even more proud...

Krishna was admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad on November 14 after he suffered a cardiac arrest. The actor passed away on the morning of November 15. Also known as Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy, Krishna worked in Telugu cinema for over six decades. He had worked in over 350 films.
