‘Love you Jaanz’: SRK’s sweet shoutout to Juhi Chawla’s daughter as she graduates from Columbia University, wins the Internet

There's nothing like having King Khan root for you.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan gave a shoutout to his bestie and former co-star Juhi Chawla’s daughter, Jahnavi Mehta, who recently graduated from the prestigious Columbia University. Mehta shared a picture of herself posing in the convocation robe on Twitter along with the caption, “#columbiaclass2023”.
Reacting to the tweet, the ‘Pathaan’ star wrote, “This is so awesome. Can’t wait for her to get back and celebrate with her. And a feeling of extreme pride. Love you Jaanz.” Khan's tweet soon went viral on Twitter and gained more than 634.5K views and 21.1K likes. Elated fans took to the comment section to gush about the sweet gesture. “King!” wrote a Twitter user. “We love you, sir,” wrote another fan. Some shared clips from the superstar’s upcoming movie ‘Jawan’. “A good friend as usual,” wrote another.


Although born to an eminent actress, Mehta has always shied away from the limelight. She was last spotted at an IPL match last year, along with Khan’s son Aryan.

On the work front, Khan was last seen in the espionage thriller ‘Pathaan’. Also starring John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, the film became the highest-grossing Hindi movie and earned more than Rs 1000 crore at the global box-office.

Khan and Chawla have starred together in several hit movies such as ‘Darr’, ‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman’, etc.

Apart from being a popular on-screen pair, SRK and Chawla are also lifelong friends. Last year, Chawla was one of the few people from the industry who stood by Khan and his family when Aryan was arrested in a cruise ship drug case. She signed a bond worth Rs. 1 lakh when he was released after spending a month in jail. In an interview with News18, she said, “We didn’t know it was coming. But when all came down to that moment when I could help, I thought it was the right thing for me to do – to be there for him.”
