Harvard-trained AIIMS gut doctor Dr Saurabh Sethi recently took to Instagram to try the viral tiramisu chia pudding and break down why it has caught his attention. In the video, he explained that the dessert is rich in fibre and protein, while still being quick and easy to prepare at home.
Recipe of Tiramisu Chia pudding
According to Dr Sethi, the recipe is simple and requires just a few ingredients. It starts with two tablespoons of chia seeds combined with one cup of Greek yoghurt. To this, he adds one teaspoon of honey, a small pinch of salt, and a quarter cup of brewed decaf coffee. Once everything is stirred well, the mixture is left to chill in the fridge overnight. By morning, it sets into a thick, creamy chia pudding. A light dusting of cocoa powder on top gives it that familiar tiramisu finish.Benefits of chia seeds
Beyond the recipe, Dr Sethi also highlighted why preparation matters when it comes to chia seeds. He explained that chia seeds can be extremely beneficial for gut health, digestion, and blood sugar control, but only when they are prepared the right way. Improper methods, he noted, are one of the biggest mistakes people make when trying chia-based desserts at home. The Economic Times Business News App for the Latest News in Business, Sensex, Stock Market Updates & More.
