Love for precious metal runs deep in Indians, says Google Cultural Institute's Amit Sood
That Indians are biased towards gold and jewellery is quite well known. But, they even enjoy looking at it.

Recently the Bhau Daji Lad Museum of Mumbai tied up with the Google Cultural Institute. It is an initiative by the tech giant to provide access to the world's private and public art and culture-related collections virtually.

Post the tie up, around 200 objects from the museum can now be viewed on the platform. The choice of objects is at the museum's sole discretion.

But guiding principles such as the one shared by Amit Sood, director, Google Cultural Institute, help. He revealed during a media meet that Indians enjoy looking at jewellery from across collections, belonging to different eras and knowing more about it. Love for the precious metal runs deep.
